MCH goes hitech in the hands of Alex

District Conference IV
The fourth and final district conference of the year was held on 9th Jun 07 at the Cosmopolitan Club, Muttada. The DG Ym. KD Chacko presided over the function. Ym. Dr. Sivanandan Nair was the chief guest. District Secretary (DG for the next year) presented the report. Later Ym. Dr. Churchin Ben was elected to the position of DG-Elect.
Representing YMC Vattiyoorkavu, Ym. Benny K Mani, Ym. Thomas Job, Ym. KG Satheesh Kumar, Ymt. Seena Thomas, Ymt. Lekha Satheesh and Ylg. Ganga participated. Ganga also sang a poem at the meeting.
SWIR Regional Convention
The regional convention of the South West India Region of the Y's Men International was held at Soorya Prabha Convention Centre, Mannanthala on 16, 17 June 2007. Sports and Law Minister M Vijayakumar inaugurated. The members of YMC Vattiyoorkavu actively participated in the solemn ceremony of necrology, under the direction of DG Elect Ym. Dr. Churchin Ben. Ym. George Varghese, Ym. KG Satheesh Kumar, Ym. Thomas Job, Ym. George Varghese (Thampi), Ym. Prasad Varghese, Ymt. Merene, Ymt. Lekha, Ymt. Beena, Ymt. Seena, Ymt. Yamuna, Ymt. Mamey, Ylg. Tania, Ylg, Tinkle, Ylg, Ganga, Ylg. Sandra, Ylg. Santwana, Ylg. Sanjana participated.
YMC Kowdiar Installation
8 Jul 2007, Sunday. The installation of the new office bearers of YMC Trivandrum Kowdiar was held at Kuravankonam UP School at 7pm. The installing officer was Ym. Prof. George T John, the past Regional Director of the South West India Region. Ym. Dr. J. Sivanandan Nair, Past RD, congratulated the charter members of the club and delivered the Charter Day speech. Ym. P Gopinath, Past Area President, inducted new members to the club. YMC Vattiyoorkavu was represented by Ym. Benny, Ym. Satheesh, Ymt. Merene, Ymt. Lekha and Ylg. Ganga.

DG visits the Club at Oct Meeting

The District Governor of District II, Ym. PWAF Jyothis Chandran visited the club on 21 Oct 07. He was accompanied by Ym. Dr. Churchin Ben, DG-Elect and his wife Yw. Sali Ben, who is also the President of the Queens Club. Click the photo above for more snaps taken on the occasion.
Kurien and Team Installed
The team of office bearers for 2007-08 was installed on 22 Jul 07 by Ym.Josey Joseph at the residence of Ym.Kurien Job. Apart from Kurien, the President, the other office bearers are Ym. Benny K Mani (Secretary) and Ym.Prasad Varghese (Treasurer). The Ys Mennettes Club will be led by Ymt.Rosamma Kurien (President), Ymt. Merene (Secretary) and Ymt. Yamuna (Treasurer). The Ys Lings Club President is Ylg. Tania and Secretary is Ylg. Twinkle. Congratulations and best wishes to the new team!

Onam 2007 celebrations
Members of YMC vattiyoorkavu celebrated Onam on 9 Sep 2007 in a very jovial mood at the residence of Thomas and Seena. Ym. Paul and Ymt. Soya of YMC Maharaja joined as guests with their two daughters. The brother of Ymt. Yamuna, Mr. Manoj also joined. Onasadya started at 12:45 and continued till 2pm. The cultural items that followed included a well-orchestrated comedy show by Seena Thomas and party. Several members and the guest, Mr. Manoj, presented Malayalam songs. Members later engaged in games and prizes were distributed to the winners. The meeting was concluded at around 4pm.
DG Ym. Chacko visits the Club
The District II Governor, Ym. KD Chacko, accompanied by the First Lady Yw. Kunjamma Chacko, visited the club on 3rd Jun. He was the Chief Guest at the monthly meeting held at the residence of Ym. George Varghese (Thampy).
The meeting was very well attended. Almost all the lings and youth participated. The DG distributed prizes for the lings who performed well in the class X and XII examinations. The club also celebrated the 82nd birthday of club president Ym. PWAF George Varghese at the occasion.
Ym. Dr.Abraham Joshua and Ymt. Dr. Geetha Abraham, club members, had just returned from a trip of the US. Dr. Joshua gave a short account of the trip to the enjoyment of all.
Special prizes were given away to Yy. C Dev and Yy. Anand S Nair, for securing placements. DG gave away the prizes.
