Oesophagus |
More details- |
The oesophagus is a major passageway made of approximately 25cm long muscular tube which consists from the mouth/pharynx through to the stomach. It moves the bolus through its passageway using peristalsis movements to the stomach. Once the bolus has made its way to the stomach, it is then called chyme due to the gastic juices it has been mixed with. |
