#^@$&*%!!! Bakit ba ganito na tayong mag-isip ngayon? Tapos sa Logic tinuruan pa tayo ng 1+1=0, biruin mo yun mali pala yung 1+1=2! Kakalungkot naman... Umagang-umaga pinapatulo nyo uhog ko. (Wala pa ngang araw eh it's only 4:55 in the morning.) Anyways, so much for an introduction... Share ko ulit sa inyo this procedure wherein hindi nyo na kailangan ng Internet Explorer sa pagche-check ng email sa Hotmail. (parang Joy sa Jomar, magkatunog. Peace men!!!) Ok here it goes...

Use your Hotmail account on Outlook Express
1. Open your Outlook Express (skip this step para hindi nyo magawa(",) )
2. Go to Tools > Accounts
3. Sa Dialog box na lalabas, Click Add then Mail
4. then it will ask you to type in the Display name, click Next
5. Email address, please include @hotmail.com
6. sa Email Server Names, select HTTP (My incoming mail server is a ----- server); My HTTP mail server provider is [Hotmail], click Next
7. Again, enter the account name (with @hotmail.com) and password, Next
8. Finish!

In this way, instead of accessing your account using IE sa Outlook Express na lang. Advantages: (1) you do not need to enter your username and password every now and then (kasi sa OE pwede automatic check ng mail every n minutes), (2) you can read your messages kahit offline ka (kailangan lang i-synchronize lahat ng folders ng Hotmail), (3) you can create emails with stationery, modify ang font style, etc., (4) tipid sa internet connection kasi nga pwedeng offline. Disadvantages: I don't know, wala pa akong nakikita. Kung tatanong nyo sa akin kung pwede sa Yahoo, pwede kaso may bayad.

Quick Tweak

Well, Outlook Express lang din naman ang pinaguusapan, e di ituloy na natin... Nakakaasar ba na everytime you click the OE icon eh nalabas muna yung splash screen then yung main window? Gusto nyo bang tanggalin? Pwede ba? Oo naman yes! hehehe Ok here it goes:
1. Start > Run (WinKey+R)
2. Type regedit (be careful... marami kayong makikita na hindi kaaya-aya)
3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\F5DE7AEE-B4DD-4129-BEE7-38F81243B6D0\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0 (haba!!!)
4. Right sa right side ng window, New > DWORD value
5. Rename it as NoSplash
6. Make sure the value is set to 1 by double-clicking it and change the value data
7. Finish na! Exit Registry Editor

COMPUTER TIPS 13 (November 19, 2003)

Good morning everyone! Madali lang po ang ating tips for today. It only involves a little knowledge about Notepad, a bit of skills in saving and isama na natin pati kaunting kisig sa pagde-delete. Ayos?

Kung katulad nyo ako na mahilig magbura ng mga icons (ayoko kasi ng maduming desktop, gusto ko kung ano lang yung kailangan yun lang ang nakikita ko), mabuti dahil para sa inyo tong tip. Nakita nyo ba yung icon sa taskbar, sa may Quick Launch yung Show Desktop? Usually katabing-katabi sya ng Start... Nakita nyo? Or wala na dahil na-delete nyo na nga? If you did, gawa na lang tayo ng panibagong icon. Or kung meron kayo, delete nyo tapos tanggaling nyo na rin sa Recycle bin. Sabi ko sa inyo, kailangan nyo ng kisig sa pagbubura eh.

Ok here it goes:
1. Open Notepad
2. Type the following:
[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

3. Then, Save As.. Show Desktop.scf. Mas maganda kung mai-isave natin sa Quick Launch folder dahil originally doon naman nakalagay yun. Pangit naman kung sa Desktop ilalagay kasi icon na nga para maipakita yung Desktop yung ginawa natin eh. Kung hindi pa po natin alam kung paano mai-save as sa Quick Launch... eto: right-click sa Quick Launch toolbar then click Open folder, sa Windows Explorer copy yung address tapos isingit nyo dun sa unahan ng Show Desktop.scf lagyan nyo ng \ parang ganito... C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\Show Desktop.scf
4. Then click Save

Notice nyo sa may Quick Launch na may madadagdag na icon Show Desktop. Ayos ba? Meron na ulit kayong alternative for WinKey+D, di ba? La bang kwents? Hindi naman yan ang kailangan nating matutunan eh... Ang moral lesson ay ito: Kung marunong kayong magbura, kailangan marunong din kayong magbalik. Ayos? Ayos!
