Gosh! Stressful ang mga araw na 'to. Baka nga wala na kayong time para macheck tong email ko. Dami nilang pinapagawa 'no? Gusto nila mabilisan lahat ng bagay. Bayaan nyo na, konting tiis na lang. Konting-konti na lang.
One encouragement. Isipin nyo lang yung mga nakagraduate na. Kung kaya nila, kaya din natin. Kung nagawa nila yun dati, bakit hindi natin magagawa ngayon? Oh di ba? O sya sige baka umiyak pa kayo.
Faster PC Defrag
Simpleng-simple lang 'to but the thing is kailangan malaman natin why. Kapag nagde-defrag ako, here's my technique:
I boot the pc in Safe Mode then after that defrag.
Yun lang. Mas mabilis na ang defragmentation nyan. Why? Kasi in safe mode, (hindi nyo ba napapansin?) mas mabilis lahat ng bagay? hehehe Minimimum lang kasi yung drivers na nilo-load ng Windows, and notice nyo na yung resolution is low so expect that your computer to run fast.
Ooppsss, kung hindi nyo makita kung nasaan yung Safe Mode na sinasabi ko, do this. Before magload yung Windows Bootscreen hit F8.
Another defrag tip, kung kaya nyo magdefrag using Command Prompt mas mabuti, mas mabilis.
Next time, I will be explaining more about Safe Mode. Okies?
Computer Term of the Week
Beta
Usually makikita/maririnig nyo to with the word "version" or simply just beta. Ano nga ba 'to? The second letter of the Greek alphabet? Yes... Pero sa computer, beta basically means test version of a software program.
After you an "author" has written a program, he assumes na it's 100% bug free but but but but but he's not 100% sure. So may beta version...
Tandaan po natin na kapag nagdownload tayo ng beta version of a program, expect natin makakaencounter tayo ng problems one way or another. So be careful BETA TESTERS!
COMPUTER TIPS 23 (January 28, 2004)
As promised, we'll try to understand the Safe Mode. Pero I'm sure pag na-take nyo na yung Operating Systems you'll have a better knowledge about this. Too bad for me, hindi naituro sa amin to kasi naman ang sipag ng teacher... hmmmm....
Anyways, here it goes:
Paano sya nalabas? Kapag nag-install ka ng new software or hardware then bigla nagcrash ang pc. Clear enough?
What it looks like? The dekstop is in 640 x 480 resolution, 16 colors and merong nakadisplay na Safe Mode sa four corners ng screen. Sa madaling salita, abnormal po. Anything that's not normal ----- abnormal.
Other abnormalities:
1. Hindi nya nira-run ang autoexec.bat or config.sys files
2. Most device drivers ay hindi nya nilo-load. For example, yung mga optical devices such as scanners, webcams, etc.
3. Instead na yung normal na video driver, yung standard VGA mode ang ginagamit nya.
4. Yung himem.sys, ay ni-loload with this switch: /testmem:on. This switch tells the computer to test the extended memory before continuing. Oooppsss, sorry masyadong advance o baka naman alam nyo na 'to?
5. It also checks the msdos.sys. 'Tong file na 'to kasi holds the information kung saan makikita yung iba pang mga Windows Files. So kapag nakita nya na may laman, proceed sya sa Windows, kapag hindi naman ira-run nya yung command.com para naman sa command prompt, yung C:\. Okies?
6. Nagbu-boot sya using the batch file system.cb instead of system.ini. Alam nyo yan sigurado... 'Tong system.cbcommunicates sa mga standard parts of the computer.
7. Last abnormality, hindi nya niloload yung regular na system.ini pati yung win.ini and Registry settings.
So, saan yung computer tip? Here: When in safe mode, it's the best way to do your defragmentation (like the previous CT) and kung meron kayong mga files na hindi nya mabura.
For example, kapag nag-Uninstall kayo ng software and meron pang mga natirang file/s and you want to delete them tapos ang sabi: Windows cannot delete the file, it is being used/run by another program.. or something like that, sa Safe Mode nyo sya burahin.
Now you know...
