Wallace, Mo-ha Regain division Leads |
Mosakowski-Hale 31 Jones-Klingman 29MOS box score - JK box score |
It was a wilder ride for the Mo-Ha. They lost the division lead last Monday night when JK rallied late to defeat Peil. JK almost repeated the feat this week. It took a commissioner's ruling to determine the defense used by the Mo-ha. They special reserved Indianapolis, but listed Washington in their line-up. The words "if available" were listed next to Washington. The commissioner ruled that that constituted a special reserve and start of Washington, who were available. Washington did not score. The result was 0 points for Washington and a 31-3 lead going into Monday night. For a while, it looked like JK could pull off their amazing rally. At halftime, Favre, Bradford and Longwell had closed the gap to 31-19. In the second half, another Favre TD and PAT closed the gap to 31-26. However, no further TDs from Favre and just another Longwell FG made it 31-29. JK left points on the bench, notably Tony Gonzales. The also cut Dallas D, which scored 17. Ironically, the final Favre TD when to former JK player, Tyrone Davis. If it is any consolation, JK still maintains a tie-breaker with the Mo-ha. Should they finished tied, JK sports a better division record at 3-1 to 2-2. |
Wallace 36 Deitrich 30BUD box score - WAL box score |
Antonio Freeman failed to score for Bud on Monday night, allowing Wallace to hold on to his 36-30 lead and take back over the Central lead that Bud took away in week 9. |
Peil 54 Barry 44DP box score - AB box score |
Milestone for Peil Peil won his 50th BRFL game 54-44 over Barry. Jeff George scored 25 points as DP has now up his season scoring total to 401. That presently has him in a points slot and he leads CZ and Stroupe by 11 points. He is also tied with JK in the standings for second, but JK currently has a tie-breaker. They play again in week 14. AB slips a half game behind JK and DP for second. From a points standpoint, he is a longshot, but has a chance at getting in as one of the playoff teams if he beats JK and the Mo-HA in his final two games. |
Jackson 56 Czupryna 44CZ box score - CJ box score |
In the West, Jackson and Best are in the playoffs. Jackson rallied Sunday night to defeat CZ, 56-44. He always seems to find the correct QB is his rotation, as neither Buffalo or Chicago would have won the game for him. This week pick, Atlanta QB's scored 25, the final TD went to Terrance Mathis for icing on the Calvin's birthday cake. |
Best 52 Stroupe 19BST box score - STP box score |
Best has an easy time with Stroupe 52-19. The first time he has won three straight over him. The win ends CZ's threat at overtaking Best, has Best is up three games over CZ with two to play. Best will win the division if he beats CZ and CJ in his next two games. |
Talbot 30 Outlaw 21OUT box score - TAL box score |
Talbot playing spoiler. He beat Outlaw 30-21, pretty much insuring that Outlaw will have to go into the playoffs as a points qualifier. Jake the Snake Plummer returned for Talbot and tossed a pair of TDs. Talbot faces Wallace and Deitrich in his two remaining games. It would be interesting if he runs the table on the division after starting out 1-9. |

Week 12 Preview |
A Long Football Weekend.
Week 12 and we are in for a fantasy football feast. None of these games are
turkeys, that is for sure. Epic battles are being fought in the East and
Central. Last weeks stunning upsets made things tighter everywhere. A false
move or two and suddenly powerhouses like Wallace and the Mo-ha could
tumble into a points slot. Teams thought to be weaker are rising up and
playing spoilers.
Week 11 will forever be known as the week of upsets as every underdog won.
Why, not sure? Maybe because I'm was in South America this weekend and I was
looking at everything upside down. Of course you must also known that when
you flush the toilets down here, your crap spins in the opposite direction.
Despite the upsets, I was 3-3. Proof to those that think I picked the obvious
every week. 37-27-2
An interesting note about Outlaw's team: Buried on his bench are two of
the greatest BRFL players of all time: Jerry Rice and Dan Marino.
Might Rice and Marino be expendable should Outlaw decide to stock his team
for the playoffs. Interesting thought. Outlaw to win and make the
Wallace/Bud loser very nervous.
Bud gets Washington, with revenge in mind facing Philly. Wallace has
Tennessee facing Cleveland. Washington has learned not to let down in the
second half. Not sure if Tennessee, who seems to pack the tents early.
Emmitt Smith on Turkey Day may indicate how this will go. A big day from
Smith, and it is Bud
