2001 Solo II National Championship: Forbes Field (Topeka, KS)
Sheeeez... 2 years later and I still haven't written about this. I'm going to take a wild guess and say I probably won't even since I've forgotten most of the details now.

February 19-20, 2000: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
This was a two day Autox divisional and an absolute blast. Lots of GOOD drivers. Competition was real tough. I ended up not winning my class but I am very happy with my results. Click for more details!

Spring 2000 Season: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
This year the Integra is classified as DSP vs CSP last year. Now my PAX factor is .819 vs .844! This is a HUGE jump. I should to kick ass this season in PAX points! It also appears the Integra will be a class killer in DSP.

January 16, 2000: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
Practice day and first autocross of the Y2K. I did very well and this event. Lots of track time too. Only 60 cars total. I ended up getting 10 runs in my car and I drove a buddies Mustang Cobra once.

December 5, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
Final event of the season. Finished 1st for the race and 1st for the season. WAHOO!!!

December 4, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
Autox school. I think I got the fastest time of any student and beat many of the instructors times.

November 7, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
Another nice course! It started out a bit slow, but the big sweeper and the high speed end was great. Once again took first place at this event!

October 24, 1999: Davis Monthan AFB (Tucson, AZ)
Great course! Fast track with high speed sweepers. With some suspension changes I really like this surface. It was also a lot better than last time because it wasn't so hot.

October 3, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
My car and my driving just keeps getting better and better. FINALLY beat my friend Brandon's PAX time!

September 25, 1999: Tempe Diablo Stadium parking lot (Tempe, AZ)
This was put on by the Cactus Corvair Club. Check out my VIDEO!!! (3.1MB)

September 12, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
First event on R-tires, plus I got new knuckles which gave me back my stock geometrey as well as more negative camber. The car handles superbly now! There's still lots of tuning needed but this is a huge step in the right direction.

June 25, 1999: Davis Monthan AFB (Tucson, AZ)
Made the 2 hour commute to Tucson this day to autox with the nice Tucson folks at Luke Air Force Base. The surface is military concrete and is "different" to say the least. It will take some getting used to. I'm not sure if this surface has more or less traction than EFA in Phoenix. I did "okay" for this event. Still fighting a car that pushes too much. Check out my VIDEO! (8.8MB)

June 5, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
This was a single night event. They rented some generators with lights and we ran while it was dark out. The lights were a little distracting as some of them caused some glare but for the most part this was one of the coolest events I've been to yet. Brandon just got to run his Kumho race tires for this event for the first time and actually ended up beating my time in his STOCK Civic HX!!! Luckily I have race tires on the way, and that WON'T happen again!

May 2, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
This was a less than stellar performance. Still did decent within the class but comparing to the other normal guys I did worse this event. I'm blaming it on my new tires in the rear as they actually gave me TOO much traction and caused the car to push excessively.

April 11, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
Much better race this time. Great sunny weather for all run groups. We also got to run first which actually isn't an advantage as you don't get to see where the "bad turns" are. But it is nice because you get out of there quicker. I finally was able to beat the top two guys in their stock cars too! A new guy entered this time though and beat us all so I pulled a 2nd place finish. The best news is I got enough PAX points from this event to put me in 1st place for the season!

March 7, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
Same bad luck as the first time. All groups but the last two did their runs before the rain. I had to work while the rain started coming down, then I had to run the car in it! I ended up getting the fastest raw time in the Novice II group and 2nd fastest when comparing all Novices (loosing only to a Corevette than ran in the dry). When factored for PAX times I got 3rd place again. Loosing to the same two guys last race. Damn those stock cars are hart to beat!

February 14, 1999: EFA (Phoenix, AZ)
They changed the location from Firebird and I couldn't have asked for a better site. "Exponent Failure Analysis" and it's only 3 miles from my house!!! Bad news was the results were posted incorrectly. My time got switched with my friend Justin's time. He has a black Acura Integra too but the time should correspond with the name not the car??? Anyway, I should have placed 3rd instead of 6th (after PAX factor). I got quickest raw time of the novice group for this event.

December 6, 1998: Firebird Skidpad (Phoenix, AZ)
My very first event in the "Valley of the Sun", or so they say. This day was extremely cold, extremely cloudy, and extremely windy. I remember thinking, dang it's cold enough to snow. Well, I shouldn't have said anything because it DID!!! I ended up getting 4th place within the Novices. But 1-3 place all got to run in the dry (it started raining for my runs). I did at least beat everyone else that had to run in the wet.
