Other DS9 Characters
Keiko O'Brien
Wife to Chief O'Brien; Keiko met the chief while they were both on board the Enterprise. The two wed on board the ship and also gave birth to daughter Molly. Keiko studied botany in the Enterprise's arboretum, something that was missing when the O'Briens transferred to Deep Space 9. Keiko was frustrated with her husband about their new living arrangements, but she tried to find something to keep her occupied. Keiko opened up a school for the children on the promenade, but it was destroyed by arson. Keiko spent a lot of time with scientists on Bajor, but she was able to get back to spend time with Chief O'Brien and to conceive their second child. There were complications during the pregnancy, though, and Keiko's baby had to be transplanted into Kira's womb until delivery.

Kassidy Yates
The captain of a civilian cargo ship, Kassidy Yates quickly caught the eye of Captain Sisko. The two of them started dating and they found that they enjoyed each other's company. Kassidy took a job transporting supplies for the Bajorans, which left her much closer to DS9 and allowed her to spend more time with Sisko. The two moved in together and eventually wed. Kassidy also became pregnant with Sisko's child.

Rom
Quark's younger brother, Rom spent most of his life being bullied and led around by his profit-seeking sibling. Rom served as a bartender at Quark's bar on Deep Space 9 for quite some time, until he realized that he had an interest in engineering. Rom became a member of the Bajoran engineering team and worked with Chief O'Brien. Rom was surprised to be named the next Grand Nagus of the Ferengi Empire, a position of great power. Rom has one son, Nog.

Nog
The only child of Rom, Nog grew up on the station and was known for getting himself into trouble. He was caught stealing on numerous occasions. Nog reluctantly became friends with Jake Sisko, and the two became good pals. Nog started to mature and even applied to Starfleet Academy, where he was accepted as the first Ferengi to join. During the Dominion War, Nog was accelerated through the Academy and was given the commission of Ensign. He served on DS9 in the engineering and tactical areas, and also piloted the Defiant on many occassions. Nog was recently promoted to Lieutenant junior-grade.

Kai Winn
A member of the Bajoran religious leaders, Winn was always looking for ways to benefit herself and her beliefs, and despite her spiritual connection to the Bajoran people, she was never truly looking out for her culture. As a Vedek, Kai Winn stirred up trouble for Major Kira and the rest of the DS9 crew. She also schemed her way into winning the election of Kai, the highest position in the Bajoran religious group. Kai Winn got herself mixed up with Gul Dukat and the Pai Wraiths which cost her her life.

Elim Garak
Garak became the only resident Cardassian after the Bajoran occupation ended and Terok Nor became DS9. A former military intelligence officer, Garak was banished from Cardassia and forced to take up residence on the station as a civilian. Garak opened a Tailor's shop and became friends with medical chief Julian Bashir. Garak also took up an interest in Tora Ziyal, the illegitimate daughter of Gul Dukat.

Gul Damar
Damar served for the Cardassian Military and worked under Gul Dukat's command. Damar was one of Dukat's right-hand men when the Cardassians took control of Deep Space 9 and Starfleet was forced to abandon the station. Damar slowly became frustrated with the Dominion War and was not happy with the Dominion (especially their control of the Cardassian people) and he defected to help Starfleet and the Bajorans.

Weyoun
Weyoun is the Vorta assigned to aid the Female Shapeshifter. Weyoun was instrumental in the Dominion War and is probably the most recognized Vorta among the Dominion. Weyoun worked with the Cardassians as well, and commanded DS9 with Gul Dukat when they temporarily took control of the station. Weyoun was extremely loyal to the founders, whom he called "gods", and had the deepest respect for even Odo. Weyoun, like all other Vortas, was a clone. Weyoun 6 defected from the Dominion and reached out to Odo for help. The last of the Weyoun clones was killed by Garak on Cardassia Prime at the end of the war.

Female Shapeshifter
Although nameless, this particular member of the Great Link of founders seemed to be in control of the Dominion and spoke on behalf of her people. She worked with the Cardassians during the Dominion War and also worked to gain Odo's trust so that she could pull him away from his friends and join the Link. When the other founders were infected with a disease, the female shapeshifter also became ill. Her life was saved by Odo, and she willingly ended the war with the Federation.

General Martok
Martok is one of the Klingon Empire's highest-ranking officials and an honorable general. He worked very closely with Klingon Chancellor Gowron and established a close relationship with Worf. Martok was captured by the Dominion and placed in one of their prisons, while a shape-shifter assumed his position next to Gowron and urged him to start a war against the Federation. The real Martok, however, was found in the prison along with Bashir and Worf. Martok worked closely with Starfleet during the Dominion War and controlled most of the Klingon fleets. Martok was made Chancellor of the Klingon High Council upon Gowron's death at the hands of Worf.

Admiral Ross
Starfleet Admiral who played an important role in the Dominion War; Ross worked along side Captain Sisko and General Martok to defeat the Dominion, and celebrated the end of the war together. Ross worked very closely with Sisko and his crew.
