The fresh or dried leaves of this plant have long been used in Greek, Italian, Spanish and Mexican dishes. My favourite Mexican dish containing oregano is Pozole, and I also always use oregano when cooking many ground beef dishes. Also, let’s not forget that oregano is a traditional seasoning in pizza and spaghetti!
Oregano goes well in turkey or chicken stuffing, hamburgers, meatballs, meat loaf, chili, bean soup and vegetables such as beans, zucchini, egglant and squash.
