97. Captain Thomas Marshall⁹ DENT (Brigadier General John⁸, Colonel George⁷, Colonel William⁶, Judge Thomas⁵, Peter⁴, James³, William², Roger¹) was born in Charles Co., MD 22 OCT 1761. Thomas died AUG 1823 in Augusta, Richmond, GA, at 61 years of age.

He married Nancy Anne MAGRUDER in Charles Co., MD. Nancy was the daughter of Alexander Howard MAGRUDER and Jane TRUEMAN.

Captain Thomas Marshall DENT and Nancy Anne MAGRUDER had the following children:

129 i. John¹⁰ DENT was born 15 FEB 1792.

130 ii. Mary Anne DENT was born 13 MAR 1793. Mary died 1855 at 62 years of age. She married James LONGSTREET. (See James LONGSTREET for the continuation of this line.)
