I am Gramma Carm Green Bay, WI. Grandmother to Adam who has SB. He is 17months old. Has hydrocepholaus and L-3 SB. He has a shunt and just last night had to have his first shunt revision. He goes to St. Vincent Hospital
He has to be cathed every 4 hours, except not at night. He has bowel
problems. He does not walk. Can move his legs a little, his right leg
more than his left. He may get braces this month. I am so worried right
now about the shunt revision. His dad said he was in ICU and had tubes all
over him. Poor little guy. I hope everyone will say an extra prayer for
him.

Laura was
born 11/11/94 with mylomeningocele with hydracephalus onsetting three
weeks after birth. Laura walks with the help of AKFO braces. She
has a VP shunt and is very vocal. To much so sometimes. (grin) She
has had a number of surgeries to include tethered cord (twice), shunt
revision (twice), uretha reimplantation, bladder stone removal, the
original closure surgery and original shunt placement.
