Ensign Travis Mayweather helmsman, starship Enterprise Human Travis Mayweather may be one of the youngest members of the Enterprise crew, but he is no stranger to space travel. Mayweather is known as a "boomer", someone who has spent most of his life growing up in space. He grew up on cargo vessels and is accustomed to ship-board life, exotic aliens, and zero gravity situations. Travis is also accustomed to slow space travel, and thus is surprised by the Enterprise's warp 5 engine. Travis and his past as a boomer came in handy when humans aboard a cargo vessel encountered Naussicans and were unable to handle the situation properly. He and Archer were also detained along with several Suliban and got to learn about the Tendaren's hatred for them.
