Commander Charlie "Trip" Tucker III chief engineer, starship Enterprise Human Born and raised in the American south, Tucker is a close friend of Captain Archer and has been working with him on the construction of the Enterprise. Tucker was scheduled to be the ship's engineer and the second in command until T'Pol came aboard and pulled rank, bumping Tucker down a spot on the chain of command. Tucker also isn't fond of T'Pol or most other alien species. As Trip's experiences on Enterprise piled up, he slowly got used to the idea of alien species and culture. He's even grown accustomed to having T'Pol on board, although they still continue to argue and verbally spar with one another. He's known for his love of water polo which he shares with Captain Archer. He's even cried at movies, though he wouldn't admit it. By far his most interesting experience was accidentally becoming empregnated by an alien.
