In the name of the Nothing, I greet you fellow universal atheists,
I am currently in a bunker, deep
beneath the surface, on an asteroid in an uncharted system. How
I got here is a story for another day, but I am transmitting
this signal in hopes that some of my former friends and acquaintances
receive and heed this warning:
Right now my antennae itch with frustration because of the cruel injustice forced upon me by the Federation fascists. The trade routes I established have been closed and my assets seized by the strong arm of the Federation known as Starfleet.
"These highest ideals," indeed. The Prime Directive and the other ethical values the Federation dreamed up in some committee some ions ago just stifles the "competition" and ensures the survival of their society. They espouse neutrality about the discussion of God, but at the heart of it is weak evolutionist atheism.
They want a baseless morality without accountability, society without individuality, and submission without reason. We should bend to their ideas of how people should act, live and even think about one another?!
Sure, they talk about individualism but the "good of the many, outweighs the good of the few or one" - a la Spock. Talk about moral absolutes, sheesh!
We true atheists know that the universe was formed by nothing for no reason. Survival of the fittest is all that matters in the end. The Federation chose to survive "better" through altruistic means, charity coupled with a strong military and superior technology.
I will not argue about the effectiveness of the arrangement. Clearly it is pragmatically superior to mine since they have taken everything including my dignity, but it is not superior morally!
When my mate (whos scales are shedding due to the stress of all this) and I were caught in Federation territory committing some violation of THEIR law, I was branded a criminal!

This from the same people who claim to live by a Prime Directive of non-interference and are explorers?!
I must admit I think my actions were not illegal, and certainly not unethical. In fact a great deal of ingenuity and bravery went into every shipment of the product that I was delivering.
Someone wanted something that was hard to find, so I supplied the buyer with the goods and made the seller a great deal of money. Both parties were satisfied, in fact they where happy!
What greater thing is there in the universe besides bringing people happiness and possible wealth before they die and lose consciousness for all eternity?
If I was an unthinking Federation clone I could answer with a grin on my face, "The Federation is a society of hope and good ideals that help everyone. It is the greatest thing in the universe."
Sure it's great, when you are on top!!!
I am under no illusion about morality, I know that it is simply an evolutionary process brought about by billions of years of natural selection and coalesced in the form of society.
Yet at the same time the Federation fascists claim to have the patent on morality and believe in themselves as though they were gods. They have "faith" in the council to do the right thing and some give their lives to the uniform in Starfleet.
They refuse to accept that they are biological processes because it makes them uncomfortable. And they choose only the parts of atheism that benefit them.
I say Freedom first! Free you mind! Free yourself from the tyranny of the Federation!
