They are people - people who exhibit a tenacious veracity in defending their atheism/evolutionism. They oppose the Christian/creation world view and leave their indelible imprint on us. They leave with us a thumbnail sketch of where they are coming from in their thinking. We here at the Institute for the study of Atheianity appreciate their pressing need to pin us down on issues. We respect that. And we would like to honor an Opposable Thumb here . . . This month's Opposable Thumb is: "Carl" The following is a very short series of letter exchanges... Hi there, ... I had a look around your "Blind Fools" site. Is this a parody site of how creation science arguments dwell on strawman arguments? For example I like how you linked to that Answers in Genesis site where they liken National Geographic to a formal science periodical. http://www.answersingenesis.org/docs/4229news3-2-2000.asp I really liked the part where they say that peer review exposed the Chinese proto birds to be fakes, yet this same peer review has missed the rest of the fossil record. *"As more evidence of altered fossils begins to surface, one must seriously question the integrity of the fossil industry and the stories these fossils are supposed to tell."* Very funny. Loved the bit at the end, "Archaeoraptor and other Chinese fossils, such as Sinosauropteryx, have been used as 'proof' of evolution and thus 'disproof' of the Bible as the inerrant Word of God. We must remember that God's Word never changes and must therefore be the basis for all our thinking rather than the fanciful, ever-changing findings of men." And they have the nerve to say they are practicing science when they have already predetermined their conclusions. And they were crying foul when the Supreme Court called their so called science nothing but a religious position. You were joking right? Carl Dear Carl, We NEVER joke around here!
