Joseph was baptised at Mirfield on the 5th
September, 1792.
He married Elizabeth who was from Thornhill by Dewsbury in about 1817.
Joseph was a corn miller
and in 1841 he and his family were living at Lower Banks, Honley.
After Elizabeth's death in 1851, Joseph moved to New Road, Honley.

Joseph and Elizabeth had six children:
Henry
baptised 22 November 1818 at Mirfield.
Married Ann Owen in 1844 and in 1851 they lived on Upper Banks in Honley.
By 1881 they had moved to Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire.
Henry was employed as a cordwainer.

baptised 14th April, 1822 at Mirfield.
William was still unmarried in 1851 and living with his parents. He was
employed as a farm labourer.
William died at the beginning of 1881.

baptised 21 March 1824 at Mirfield.
No record on 1841 census, she could have been married or have died.

Benjamin
baptised 7 January 1827 at Mirfield

Harriet
baptised 13 December 1829 at Mirfield.
No record on 1841 census so presumably had died.

Elizabeth
baptised 18 March 1832 at Mirfield.
She was still unmarried in 1851 and living with her parents.
She was employed as a power loom weaver.

Elizabeth died on the 5th
November, 1851 and was buried at Honley Cemetery on the 9th November, 1851.
Joseph died on the 7th August, 1865 and was buried with Elizabeth on the
10th August, 1865.
