The next day Yutaka was waiting for Kouin,
a little anxious to get to work immediately. When the high angel
arrived, he helped his new friend prepare the place the same way it
had been the day before. While were doing so, two golden eyes were
staring curiously at what they were doing. He’s acting so different
since he met that boy. But he…he looks familiar…I don’t know from
where but I’ve seen that boy before. Those eyes…I’m sure I’ve seen
those eyes. He suddenly remembered what the boy said when he first
saw him. That’s it! He said he reminded Kouin of someone…Yutaka.
Yes, his eyes are just like Yutaka’s…if that’s the case, I’m lost.
“Would you tell me about him? What happen
to him..?”
“No…it’s a sad memory. No talking please…we
can do it later.”
“Aren’t you supposed to be working?”
“Later…”
“You can do what you want?”
“Not really, this is my time off…I’m using
it in a different way, that’s all.”
“What you usually do?”
“Swim and meditate.”
“I see…can we swim together one day?”
“Sure. Now...shh.” Kouin put his forefinger
in his lips and winked.
“Sorry…I got bored.”
“I’m sorry, want to take a break?”
“Yes! Sit with me.” Kouin cleaned his hands
from the painting and did as he requested. “How old are you?”
“Why do you ask? How old are you?”
“I asked first! But I’ll tell you, I’m 20.”
Kouin’s eyes widen, now he was even surer than before. “What’s
wrong?”
“Yu…Yutaka died 22 years ago on Earth.”
“You mean…it could really be me?”
“I am sure, my heart tells me so.”
“You know…maybe it’s true ‘cause I feel
like I know you.”
“Yutaka…” Their eyes met in a loving stare
and carelessly their bodies move closer searching for that lost
warmth they once shared. “I…I love you.” Kouin lean down to kiss him
a little afraid to be rejected, but Yutaka accepted his kiss without
fear or hesitation.
Hokano’s eyes reflected surprise and pain
at the moment they kissed, freeing a tear from his eyes as his heart
broke in million pieces. “Kouin…” He softly whispered the name of
the man he had loved since the first day he took him as his
friend-even when he had tried to kill him. Back then he was confused
and angry at the world for what happened to him and his planet.
Kouin was the son of the man who caused the death of his planet and
was the one with all the luxury and good stuff while he had only
lived in a matchbox. Hokano and Kouin were the only two kids that
could save their world, one- a sweet loving child, and he, a
troublemaker and a rebel. It was only natural Kouin would be the
chosen one, and he would be left on Earth…so Hokano had tried to get
rid of him so he could return and save their world-but things sure
turned out differently. Kouin forgave him, and saved him from dying.
And what was worst, he’d brought him back to Tengoku. He felt in
debt with him, but also fell in love with him. The two years they
spent practically alone just trying to awake and save all the people
of their world only made him love him more for the strength,
patience, and love he gave to everyone. Kouin had made so many
sacrifices, just to make his world blossom again, that he felt it
was impossible not to love him- that was why he was always beside
him.
Since he couldn’t watch anymore, he left
immediately, trying to forget what he just saw. Why him? If he just
met him, why? Is it because he looks like Yutaka? I’ve given my life
to him…why can’t he love me? I’m loyal and always there for him
whatever he needs me. I’ve give up many opportunities just to stay
with him, but he never noticed my affection. Kouin…I know it’s not
your fault, but still, it hurts.
“Highness…we shouldn’t.”
“I know…but tell that to a broken heart
that’s been needing to heal for 22 years and the more I’ve tried to
put it’s pieces together, the more I fail…until now.”
“How much have you suffered?”
“You wouldn’t imagine…it’s like the song
you played the other day…time can’t heal a broken heart when you
really love.”
“You were actually listening to the
lyrics?”
“Of course…kiss me.” The young man didn’t
doubt, and gave him what he asked, quickly pleasing the High Angel
by kissing him deeply and sweetly for long minutes. Their tongues
entwined and rubbed against each other hungrily sharing the wetness
of their mouths while they kissed. “Same taste…there’s no doubt, you
are my beloved.” Yutaka jumped to his arms to continue their kissing
almost swallowing Kouin’s lips, the young man felt the need to have
him, the desire to touch him, and he held him near his heart. “No
one kisses the way you do love…love.”
“Mm” The young one didn’t want to talk, he
wanted to kiss him and feel his closeness more than anything,
interrupting every word Kouin tried to say with his kisses, making
him forget about anything he was about to say to just go on and kiss
him endlessly. “Shhh.”
“Ok.” They giggled and continued kissing.
While Hokano walked carelessly in the city
completely destroyed, Kai stopped him-he hadn’t seen her with his
distraction.
“Hokano, where’s Kouin?”
“I don’t know.”
“Don’t lie to me, you’re his shadow! You
always know where he is.”
“Call him on the transmitter. I don’t know
where he is.”
“He is not answering, I think he shut it
down. Where is he?”
That much privacy he needed?? “I already
told you. I have no idea! Now let me go. I got things to do,
highness.”
“You are not going anywhere until you take
me with him. Can’t you see we are growing apart?” She started crying
trying helplessly to manipulate him, and convince him to give her
the information. “I am trying to save our relationship.”
“With all your respect, highness, your
relationship was killed by you a long time ago, so don’t play
innocent with me. You lied to me when we were on Earth. You told me
that you loved him more than anything and you didn’t love him
enough…but that’s not all…I know you and your little secret, so
don’t play the innocent with me.”
“What secret?”
“You know exactly what I mean…I know about
you and the historian.”
“What? You are insulting me! That’s a lie
and I’ll will report you to the Council!”
“Go ahead, I’ll do the same…I’ve seen you
in the computer room with him…” She was obviously embarrassed and
left without saying another word.
'Slut. Kouin shouldn’t have left after
you…after that he changed a lot. Always wondered why, but I always
had this feeling it was because of him, and now…I am almost
convinced. He was in love with Yutaka, that’s why…that’s why he
always talked about him, but after he died…he never mentioned his
name and his eyes were always sad. The way he cried that day broke
my heart and now, he sees Yutaka in that boy.'
