ower armor might be thought
of as a sort of super-suit of body armor that protects its wearer completely,
but is also an exoskeleton that enhances the abilities of the wearer and
offers a array of weapons. It is a form of mechanical augmentation that
does not require the user to submit to any physical alteration. The armor
is basically a robot suit. The human pilot steps into it and activated
the armor to become a self contained environmental combat system.
Traditionally, powerarmor was an augmented, environmental combat
suit that was worn like nights of old. However, with improvements in robotics
and nano-technology, the line between power armor and manneed robot has
becomed blurred. So-called suits of power armor are frequently small,
one-man robots which the "wearer" is a pilot who sits inside the armor.
To make things perfectly easy, Armors/Powers armors are such suits
that are under 25 feet in height. Every bot over, is listed under the
robots section. The MPA and Raptor being a good example
of a Power Armors, but the Serpent and Panzor armor is an
example of where the line between the armor and robot become blurry.
All MPA Armor has the following features:
- Omni sensors: Complete compliment of a optics including, Infra
Red, Passive Nightvision, Thermal Imaging, Ultra Violet, Telescopic
Sight, and Normal Vision
- Evironmental Systems (MPA): Complete environmental armor suitable
for use in all hostile environments including space, 8 hour air suppy,
plus full air filters (radiation, water (underwater breathing upto 50
feet), dust, mold, etc.) Temperater control, Radiation and heat shielding
1200 degrees, and UMR Tracking device.
The Raptor, Panzor, Serpent and Skreem Armor has the above features plus
the following:
- Radar: Long-range Radar
- Assits in tracking up to 90 targets 20 Mile range
- Combat Computer: Calculates, stores, and transmits data into
a 3d HUD display, linked tot he Sensors, Radar and the Targeting Computer
- Targeting Computer: Assits in tracking up to 100 targets and
adds a +2 to strike Ten Mile range
- Built in Loud Speaker: 125 db of pure sound
- Heath/Niven: Supplies food and nourishment for the pilot, enough
to last for 7 days, plus the Niven System, masages muscles and eliminated
need to be out of the armor
- Environmental Systems: Heat Shielding up to 2000 degrees, 1
mile diving distance, oxygen supply for 16 hours, and psychic shielding
