The GP-03 power armour series comes from outpost Gala Dyna,
a large primative jungle planet. The armour has been adapted to survive
the tangle weed, with the serpent lower body helping to avoid entanglemnt
in the monsterous plants; The addition of platting to help the armour
survive the Targaianius Trap plants, their bite would cut a less armoured
unit in half; lastly modified is the Tail Pincer, used shock and scare
creatures, rather than kill them.
Serpent Armour has been adapted as an adventurers armour,
with the blinding movement used in many get-aways. UMR would rather this
unit not get on the open market, due to that very problem in the Gala
Dyna system with brigands and pirates.
UMR Special forces on Rifts Earth, created the Aspe Division,
the armour is darkgreen, with a brownish underbelly. The Special forces
are used as hit-and-run jungle forces. Usually attacking then fleeing
with out anyone noticing they were even there. The armour is sometimes
given out under special assignment.

when used, discharges a burst of electricity. Giving new meaning to
the lightning strike of the Serpent.
