Along with our regular Art Workshop, G2K is adding a new feature to the line-up. We are offering an artist session containing real models. This life drawing workshop will be held during the course of the convention and give artists the opportunity to practice drawing live models. The models will be sitting for short and long poses, with times ranging from thirty second poses to ten minute poses. Presenting a New Event for Gathering 2000
Your hosts, Kanthara and Siryn, will moderate the session and determine the length of poses. They will also be explaining the role of anatomy and life drawing in the art field. Models will be posing in normal clothing, body suits, and, if possible, gargoyle costumes.
This will be a closed session. You must pre-register to be a part of this event. It will be held in a separate room of the convention center, and access will restricted to registered participants only. All artists must sign a "declaration of respect". The models are volunteers and we wish them to feel comfortable. We also ask that there be no filming, photography, or recordings made of this event. Security will be present outside the door if needed.
We ask that all artists bring their own supplies (paper, pen, pencil, pastels, charcoal, etc). Registration forms for this event will be available soon on the G2K website, and at the registration desk at the convention. We hope all the artists joining us in 2000 will take advantage of this event.
