General Information

As we all know, the items produced for the show Gargoyles are numerous, and we want to see them all. The Gathering 2000 would like to encourage all it's attendees to participate in buying and selling Gargoyles Merchandise at the Item Auction, scheduled to take place the last day of the convention.

There will also be an Art Auction for artists who wish to sell their works.  For the details of that, please see the Art Show information page.

Setup & Display

The set-up and display of the items will take place on the first day of the convention, August 4, 2000. A room has been set aside for their display, and the Gathering will provide tables onto which the items will be placed. The items will then be on display for all convention attendees to view prior to the auction.

All items displayed will be offered up for bidding and will be sold at the auction. If you do not want to sell your items, please don't submit them! All items automatically go to the live auction held during the course of the convention. All items will stay in the designated room until bid on and paid for. All items submitted will be tagged and registered with the convention, so the proper attendees will be paid.

Security

We have taken some steps to ensure the safety of your items. The display room will be equipped with a security table at the entrance. At this table all guests will be asked to check all bags. Also, no cameras or visual recording devices will be allowed in the room. Only convention attendees and special guests will be allowed to enter the room during display times. During all other times the door will be locked and entrance is restricted to convention staff members.

Helpful Hints

Due to the wide variety of Gargoyles merchandise available, we ask that the seller group things into lots, i.e., a Gargoyles note pads, pencils, and 3-ring binder could be one lot. This will cut down on the number of lots and will shorten the auction time.

Donations

To keep the Gathering moving into the 21st century, we are going to need your support. We are asking for donations of Gargoyles merchandise which will be sold at the auctions. The profits will go to The Gathering Fund, which is designed to raise money for further conventions. All who donate items will be given much praise and adulation during the auction. By continuing the Gathering, we will gain a greater comradery, and show our support for the phenomenon that is Gargoyles. All donations or questions concerning the auction should be directed to Jubilee by writing to gathering2k@nycmail.com or gathering2k@hotmail.com.  Please note "G2K Auction" in the subject line when you write.

Merchandise Auction Fees

There is no fee to sumit your items into the item auction, nor a limit ot lots. But the Gathering does take a 10% commission fee from the selling price of your lots. All money from the commission goes to the Gathering fund, and helps support further conventions.

Auction Registration

Due to limited space, we ask that all attendees pre-register any items they intend to offer for sale and  reserve a place in the aucition. The cut off date for the item auction registration is the same as the convention pre-registration, June 31, 2000.

To register your items for auction, please print out and complete a copy of the Gathering 2000 Auction Registration Form and include it with your convention pre-registration and payment.

There is a chance we may accept additional items for the auction at the door, but an additional charge will be imposed.  We encourage you to pre-register all items you wish to offer for sale in the auction at the time you register for the Gathering.

Any questions or concerns should be directed to Jubilee by writing to gathering2k@nycmail.com or gathering2k@hotmail.com. Please note "G2K Auction" in the subject line when you write.
