Masquerade Ball & Costume Contest

The traditional Gathering Masquerade Ball will be held this year on Saturdaay night following the dinner.  As in years past, there will be a costume contest with prizes awarded for First, Second, and Third Place.  Addulations will also be awarded for any additional special categories our special guest judges feel the need to create (after all, who can forget Gathering 1999's "Miss Congeniality" award to Skippy the Klingon).

Everyone is encouraged to dress up in costume and have a fun time.  All costumes are welcome, with only one rule: no weapons (real or fake) are permitted.  Beyond that, the only limit is your imagination.

Tentative Schedule of Events

Please note: the daily schedules posted here are tentative and subject to change at any time.  A complete final schedule will be posted at the convention.

The Official Gathering 2000 Video

The Gathering of the Millennium is steadily approaching, and it is going to be the biggest party of the century. We are going to rock Florida for the best three days and three nights of your life. We're going to be doing things a little different this year. Not only are we going to the headquarters of Disney, Orlando, there is going to be an official taping of the Gathering 2000. In previous years, fans could get tapes through the handiwork of attendees with video cameras. This year, anyone interested will be able to purchase a video of The Gathering 2000 after the convention and at The Gathering 2001. The Gathering 2000 tape will be a professional mix of many camera operators and tech support, to create a more encompassing view of the events of G2K.

Heading up the team is Brooklyn Magus, who assisted on the video for the Gathering 1999. He is currently looking for additional camera crew. If you have any experience with either hand-held or tripod-mounted video cameras and wish to participate, contact Brooklyn Magus at his e-mail address ace4@mailcity.com. Please include your name (chat handle or internet name preferable), list your experience, including which type of cameras you can handle, and if you have a camera or tripod that can be used in the filming. Brooklyn Magus will select his camera crew from the applicants and, at a date yet to be announced, will announce his staff choices on his website and on the Gathering 2000 website. If selected, you will be contacted with assignment details. Good luck to everyone!
