A new feature we are adding to The Gathering this year is a home made figures workshop and contest. The contest is outlined here. The workshop will take place during the course of the convention. During this event, your host will give you all the tricks and trade secrets on how to create your own figures for Gargoyles. This will give you the opportunity to own figures of all your favorite characters, that were never made in the toy line. Presenting a New Event for Gathering 2000
The only requirements of you, the participant, is an action figure to re-sculpt into a new character. The Gathering will provide all the materials needed to cut, glue, repaint, etc... Because of the nature of some of the tools being used (i.e., Exacto-blades, glue, clay, etc...) we ask that no child under the age of ten attend this workshop without the presence of an adult.
Below is a list of already existing figures and the characters that they can be transformed into. If you would like to participate and create a home-made figure, find these pre-existing figures, and bring them to the convention. The pictures below have examples of figures that you can make. More action figures will be added to the list as they are devised.
