Ambassadeur 1000 / 1000C

The 1000 and its ball bearings counterpart 1000C was part of a series (1000/1000C, 2000/2000C) of budget reels to introduced in 1983 and 1984 to fill the price spectrum between that of the classic Ambassadeur and the Ultra Mag series.

Some said that it was ABU's attempt at capturing the market segment dominated by Shimano's Bantam.

It comes in 3 different colours - Silver, Black and Red. There is also a variation of 1000 red made of corrosion resistance polymer material. This was made in 1984.
