10/29 - I've updated Meow's Fan Art page, adding a new picture she drew and making it so the pictures finally show up! :)
10/25 - Check out the new Hogwarts page. I've updated the Greeting Cards page so it finally works and updated the FAQ.
10/22 - Yesterday was my birthday. Because I don't have much homework today, I'm updating this site! Yay! I've added new rumors and a new drawing in my fan art.
10/5 - Yes, I'm finally updating! I have added my weird messed-up fanfic of HP meets Greek mythology. Read here.
9/21 - Friday was Hermione's birthday, September 19th!
8/29 - School has begun. But, cheers, there're weekends! ^_^ And this one's a three-day weekend!
Therefore, I'll be able to update more, such as posting your rumors. (New ones added today.)
Note about the rumor submission form -- the only point of the email address is for me to be able to send you a notice when your rumor has been posted. I will never use it again. If you want to be notified when your rumor is posted (the subject title would be "Your Rumor Posted"; please don't delete these; not spam) then type your email address. If you don't want to, then you can leave it blank. However, it's easier for me if you give your email so I will know that all the rumor forms I've replied to I've posted. Thanks.

NEWS In the news, in northwest England a truck filled with copies of the fifth book has been stolen. It contained 7,500 copies.

BOOK FIVE HINTS J.K. Rowling admits to shedding tears over killing off a main character, but according to a New York tabloid, The Daily News, which supposedly got a copy of the fifth book ahead of time, this character is not Harry, Ron, or Hermione.
According to the tabloid, the story begins with Harry suffering at the hands of the Dursleys. However, when dementors are dispatched to he Muggle world, Harry must use magic to save Dudley. He writes to Sirius, saying, "I've just been attacked by dementors and I might be expelled from Hogwarts. I want to know what's going on and when I'm going to get out of here."
The News says that his troubles increase as he must fight Voldemort for his control of his own soul to avoid being used as an "agent of evil."
However, it is not all terrible, as Cho Chang allegedly tells him, "I really like you."
Two new characters mentioned are the "sadistic" Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Dolores Umbridge, and the "insult-spewing" house elf, Kreacher.
We only have to wait three more days to verify all this!

5/10 - Have deleted common rooms as no one ever visited them anyway. The Order of the Phoenix publishing date is getting closer!!! You can pre-order your copy though Amazon.com or a local bookstore.

2/7 - Search Engine: I've finally fixed the search engine. Sorry! I kept telling myself to fix it but never got around to it. So now...it works! The one on the text index page had been fine though, so I haven't changed it.

BOOK FIVE TO BE PUBLISHED IN JUNE!Finally some news! And it's wonderful, tremendously fantastic news!!! Book Five has a publishing date! Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will hit bookstores in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Australia on June 21st. (Incidentally, it's also the first day of summer. And it's winter now! Or vice-versa if you're in Australia.) Anyway, (yippee!) it will be longer than the 4th one! The British version, by Bloomsbury, will be 768 pages and cost £16.99 ($27.28 US). It will also be a third longer than its predecessor by word count, a chapter longer, and have smaller font.
Although the U.S. publisher, Scholastic, did not reveal lengths nor prices, they did let out some excerpts. The story begins like this: [ continue news here ]
12/31 - The last day of 2002! New Year's Eve! HP-wise, not much news. Several weeks ago, an American collector won a card with 93 words about Book V from J.K. Rowling. He paid $45,314 which went to charity. The only words revealed were "Ron ... broom ... sacked ... house-elf ... new ... teacher ... dies ... sorry. " Let's hope the book will be out by this date 2003.

I like Chamber of Secrets better than the first movie, but I'm not sure whether it's because it really is better or I'm just used to the films and don't have as high expectations as I did for the Sorcerer's Stone. 11/13 - The movie is out on Friday! Two days! Some more tidbits: supposedly, "Ron" 's voice is a lot deeper and "Harry" 's breaks. Hee hee.
11/9 - The movie is coming very near! November 15 is just 6 days! Here's a depressing thing about it I read in TIME: (it went something along the lines of:) "After being accused of being too slavishly faithful to J.K. Rowling's first novel, [Chris Columbus] has allowed himself freer reins [with the second movie]." Ack! Nooo! Freer rein? Too slavishly faithful? As if it were! What a disaster Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets will be!

10/27 - Movie News: Richard Harris, playing Dumbledore, recently died from Hodgkin's disease in a London hospital. He died peacefully at age 72. According to director Columbus, he's not the only one who won't appear in later films. "If I were a betting man I'd say they'll probably stop after three," Columbus said about 12-year-old Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson (Hermione Granger), 12, and Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley), 13.
Book News: Some rumors squashed. One such is that there will be an eighth book. (This rumor was started by Warner Brothers taking the numbers of films to eight, despite JKR saying repeatedly that there will only be seven. Don't they ever listen!) Another is that the titles of books six through seven are Harry Potter and the Alchemist's Cell, Harry Potter and the Chariots of Light, and Harry Potter and the Pyramids of Furmat. What I don't understand is how there are three titles for two books. Allegedly, these titles were registered with UK Patent Office's Trademark Database in April of 2000. If true, was one supposed to be Book Five? We know the real name for it now, so I don't believe the others can be true. Also, JKR would never let us know without her permission, would she? Remember "Harry Potter and the Doomspell Tournament" and how that turned out?

Movie News: The commercials for The Chamber of Secrets are being shown. [Oh my gosh, do they have to make every event a disaster? Make Hermione always a genius? Make all the animated creatures hideous and inaccurate? - sorry, I have a personal thing against the movies; yet, I would never be able to miss it. Of course, I can't criticize if I don't see it...]

10/18 - So sorry for the lack of updates. I created a new home page but the computer crashed while saving. :( BIG JKR NEWS: She is pregnant! The baby is due in spring. J.K. Rowling admits this will slow the book's publishing date. :(
Personal News: My birthday is on Monday! :) Yay! (Except for the fact it's on a Monday with a math quiz the next day.) I fear, I am turning very old (in my eyes it's old anyway).
Also, about the FrontPage thing, I have bought it! :) I can only open it on my birthday, however, so no sudden site changes will occur until then. Site News: Prepare for a completely different index! I am planning to add frames and many more complex things that just aren't possible with Netscape Composer.

7/30 - Oh, no! It's almost August...and you now what that means... :( Added misery: I have a cold with runny nose, sore throat, and cough. *scowls* Since we recently reset our computer back to the default version after encountering some problems (such as no sound), we lost many fonts we used to have, including Lumos. Today I downloaded it and Parseltongue, another HP-inspired font (and, in my opinion, even better than Lumos). So, I'd just like to encourage to download these great fonts! click here for more info

6/19 - Update about the upcoming movie --- it is due November 15. (This is one year later and one day earlier than the first movie...) Let's hope they do a better job on this movie. Many changes will probably occur in future movies as there will be a new director. Chris Columbus has resigned from the job. Check out the news section .

6/4 - Yay! June hath cometh! Yet with June coome those dreaded things...called Finals. Joy to all who don't take them, woe to all who do. All right, all right, I'll stop.
