STEPS FOR USING YOUR PLANISPHERE
Step INSTRUCTIONS EXAMPLE
1

There are two wheels on your sky wheel. One shows time and another the date and month. Set the desired time with the desired date in the wheel.

8pm/20 November

2

Find one constellation in the  to locate in the sky.

Orion

3

See which horizon is nearest to it.

Orion is rising in the Eastern horizon

4

Now rotate the whole sky wheel so that the horizon, which is nearest to the constellation you want to locate, is at the bottom.

Make the eastern horizon at the bottom

5

Check if the constellation is high, near the zenith or low, near the horizon.

The Orion is low in the horizon

6

Remember the shape of the constellation, the no. of stars in it and look up into the sky.

The Orion has three main stars, making a small line, called the Orion's belt. In its two sides you can see 4 bright stars, two in each side. [Find it in your sky wheel first!! ;-)]
