Men of Power

What, exactly, makes an anime guy a "man of power"? These Leading Men are the strongest characters, the fighters extraordinaire, always ready for a fight (to save the universe, or their girl, lucky, lucky!)---but that's not all they do. These guys light up the screen with their unbelievable confidence, strength, determination and, yes, looks. They're what my sister terms "to die for."

          I've only seen the Japanese Mononoke Hime, sans subtitles, but right away this guy caught my eye. He's like a male Nausicaa in many ways: he's noble and inspiring people like him and willingly follow him he acts as a conduit between forest and civilization he's good with animals (most notably with Yakkuru, his weird gazelle-like steed) usually calm and collected, but can kick serious ass when he needs to (you'd have to see it to believe it). The scene in the beginning with him riding Yakkuru in front of the stampeding giant boar-thing reminded me of Nausicaa flying her mehve in front of the rampaging Ohmu! And the fact that he sounds kinda like Van Fanel doesn't hurt. ^_^

Okay people, here's a quick tip--all I have to know is that Miyazaki created the story/movie/character and I will post him/her/it in the Leading... sites. He's that good. By the way, Andrael was also the one who sent me an image. =)

          You must have Masumi on your list! He is a character from a manga call 'Garasu no kamen' (Glass Mask) and he is ABSOLUTELY the BEST!!! He is VERY handsome, and his love for Maya is sooo....great! He remains anonymous as Maya's greatest fans: Mr. Purple Roses. No matter what happen, Masumi will always love Maya, his soul-mate, his other half. It's kinda hard to decide where Masumi belong coz he is simple THE man.           I checked your whole website, and I can't BELIEVE you don't have MEGA-PLAYBOY from DNA^2. He is so awesome. His name says it all. How can you not have a guy who is so irresistible to girls that he ends up having 100 kids from 100 different women? (Unfortunately, I can't find a decent picture of him on the Internet.)

I can't say that his having a hundred kids makes him number one in my book, but hey--whatever rings your bell, babe!
