Men of Power

What, exactly, makes an anime guy a "man of power"? These Leading Men are the strongest characters, the fighters extraordinaire, always ready for a fight (to save the universe, or their girl, lucky, lucky!)---but that's not all they do. These guys light up the screen with their unbelievable confidence, strength, determination and, yes, looks. They're what my sister terms "to die for."

He is forced to leave his wife and venture to the Shadow Lands...He manages to escape and return home only to find that...his actions were for nothing. Alan...vows to make amends and promises to rebuild Lunaria and create a bright future with no more war.

He managed to lead a group of strong individualists--no mean feat!!--all the way to victory. He earned the respect of kings and their advisors...Parn did a lot of things that were fairly impressive, but I think the best thing about him is that he KNOWS how to work in a group. How many grandstanding heroes can say that?

I finally saw some Escaflowne episodes. I admit Van has his moments, but his mecha is something else. He's never more cool than when he's protecting his own. We should be so lucky in the REAL world :::sigh:::
