SYNOPSIS:
No synopsis for this one. We're trying to give away as little as possible. Just do yourselves a favour and go read it!

EWOK:
Keep in mind that I give this story a ten out of ten, and would recommend you read it with NO knowledge of the story beforehand, just like I did...

NANCY:
But some people like to have SOME idea of what they're getting themselves into, Ewok! People, READ THE DISCLAIMER. Read it carefully.

Spoiler space.

Really. We mean it! You probably don't want to read this until after you've read the story!

EWOK:
OK, Nancy, if you must...

NANCY:
Sequel to And A Nightingale... Janice and Mel wake up together in bed after a night of sex, each dealing the revelations they have learned from having Xena and Gabrielle enter their bodies. Unfortunately the things they have learned lead them into an emotional spiral that spins into darkness.

If you don't like having your perceptions of Janice and Mel, and of Xena and Gabrielle for that matter, shattered into smithereens, then read no further. This story is dark, and thrilling, and ultimately mind-blowing. Two words come to mind, AWESOME and WOW!

I'm not going to say too much because the effect of the story depends on shock. You need to not have the faintest idea of what is coming next.

EWOK:
So why are you telling them this? I mean, really ...

NANCY:
Because I feel like it!

Suffice to say that the Fallen has created some anti-heroes here that challenge all the commonly held ideas about these characters, while also staying completely true to them. I was at first too horrified by the ending to like the story, but on second reading I have grown to really appreciate the style of this writer.

Personal note to the fallen: Where did you go? Post again, bright angel!

NANCY:
It won't appeal to everyone, in fact I think it won't appeal to most people, but it appealed to me. 10 out of 10.

EWOK:
Haunting. 10 out of 10.
