clinical establishment, the Department of Internal Medicine played vital
role in gaining the respect and humane repute of the setup which is much
attributable to the unyielding professionalism of compassionate altruistic
attitude of the sole medical specialist towards the patients.

Classified Medical
Specialist: Major Muhammad Yasir; born on 01 June 1967 at Chhorian , Kharian.
He is graduate of Army Medical College, Rawalpindi in 1989. He got
commission in Pak Army on 12 December 1989 and rendering his services in his
present rank since 12 December 1995. He has done his FCPS in Internal
Medicine in 2000 from College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.
Duties
a. Looking after the medical
reception of the military personnel’s since the arrival of the contingent
b. Looking after the medical Out
Patient Department of the UNMIL troops (sec 2 mil employees, Other UN
employees, patients of DDRR)
c. MO I/C of the medical ward, JCO&
Officers ward for UNMIL troops
d. Supervising the screening of the
civilian patients (at medical reception of LGH) and providing the specialist
cover/consultation for the medical cases (including dermatology, paediatrics,
and psychiatry)
e. Looking after the dermatology and
psychiatry cases of UNMIL troops
f. Dealing with all types of acute
emergencies including pediatric, geriatric, and gynecological for the
civilians as well the UNMIL troops
g. On job training of the civilian
staff of the LGH and staff of the world vision (NGO)
h. Doing life saving procedures like
liver aspiration, blood transfusion services, etc
