Radiology Department
The Radiology
Department is again a fundamental pillar of hospital establishment and have
significant role in leading the physicians and surgeons to establish the
final diagnosis for any particular patient. Throughout the mission the
department remained very active, both at the humanitarian front as well as
execution of its professional/ operational obligations.

Classified
Radiologist : Major Mashkoor Ahmad; born on 28 February 1965 at Lahore. He
is a graduate of Army Medical College, Rawalpindi in 1987. He got commission
in Pak Army on 4 January 1988 and rendering his services in his present rank
since 4 January 1994.He has done his FCPS in Diagnostic Radiology in
September 1998 from College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.
Capabilities
a. Provide basic
diagnostic work up in the field of x-rays and ultrasound.
b. Can perform
interventional diagnostic procedures under ultrasound guidance including:-
(1) Pleural fluid
aspiration.
(2) Liver abscess
aspiration
(3) Can perform per
cutaneous nephrostomy.
c. Intravenous
urography and Barium studies can be performed with a fair degree of
accuracy.
d. Can provide
support to the dental department regarding their x-ray facilities.
No of positive
diagnosis in army personnel varies from 1-=13 percent, while in the civilian
population, it is 17-20%. Majority of the civilian cases includes
tuberculosis, pneumonias, bone fractures and old cases of gun shot wounds
with complications.
