Professionals with graphic design and engineering backgrounds will come together to introduce and utilize their respective expertise as tools for exploring the issues of health and healthy living.
PAL facilitators Angela and Sam, will highlight the opportunities that are available for a career in the graphic design and telecommunications fields. Whether you want to meet professionals from the community, explore issues of health, find out about the newest tools for communicating or work with the latest technologies to flex your creativity, come join the discussion with the PAL facilitators and find out more!
Angela Moy is a graphic designer for the athletic footwear retailer Footlocker designing posters, game cards and other graphics. Her other projects include creating animations and images for various websites, candy shops and other companies.
Angela Moy grew up in New York City and always had a passion for art.
She started drawing cartoons for the comic section in the school's
newspaper which led her to study animation in college.
Sam Wan is a field engineer in the telecommunications industry. He works for Speakerbus, a corporate communications company, setting up system intercoms and trouble-shooting and servicing equipment. He also works with software applications such as Windows 2000 to support telecommunications hardware.
Sam graduated from NYU's Stern School of Business with a double major in Information Systems and Finance (Bachelor of Science, 2001). In the past, he has set up computer applications as an Information Technology consultant and is studying to obtain industry certifications, such as the one for CISCO systems.
