Plot:
Some of the names I couldn't seem to pick up on in the movie.
On the crowded streets, we learn that some demonstrators are manipulating some workers who are on strike from a pharmaceutical company. The demonstrators are in turn
manipulated by the Mob. Generic Mob. This is all part of a large drug scheme. Fight breaks out between the workers and demonstrators.
Terry Tsuguri is hired to break into the factory.
Michael Jackson's closet...
Terry Tsuguri is also a master of disguise.
The police have a group holed up in a building. They storm the place. A SWAT team member manages to arrest Kuwada, I'm not sure who that is but they're seems to be a
Kuwada in all of these movies. Finally, get the StreetFightert theme. As the police haul the crooks into police headquarters, one police car doesn't stop and keeps driving. They're
being chased. The lead cop car pulls into a garage. The cop gets Kuwada into another car. As they escape, Kuwada wants to know who is mysterious benefactor is. The cop takes
his face off. It’s Terry Tsuguri. And in all of the movies, this is the first time, I've ever heard him refer to himself as the "StreetFighter."
A group of Mob guys are waiting for Terry. They want the case Kuwada has. Terry gets a briefcase with his pay inside. Newspaper is the only thing in the briefcase. Haven't
the Mob ever learned never to try to Kill Terry or cheat him yet? They still haven't learned. A fight breaks out. Karate girl fights Terry. Apparently, Karate Girl works for the District
Attorney, DA if you watch enough Law and Order. Tsuguri asks about getting hired by the DA himself.
In a crowded office building, Terry manages to find the DA. DA recognizes Terry and warns him about the Mob wants him dead.
A man is buying the tape and formula. While playing the tape, we learn the tape must be played simultaneously with another tape to get the formula for a "cheap, profitable way
to make synthetic heroin". Karate Girl hunts down Terry and talk for a minute.
Back at the buy, Terry manages to get in and steal the tape. He escapes unscathed.
The Mob is having a meeting on how to deal with Tsuguri. Mob Lady, Aya notices a TV show is playing in the background.
What can I say about this?
The man is Mr. Black. A sombrero wearing man with the ability to break a chain with the power of his mind and can break the chain with his bare hands. The Mob should look
into recruiting guys like that to handle Tsuguri.
Terry is working out and gets a phone call from his messenger service. He's got a hot date. The messenger service girl is at the club and being hit on by some creepy guy. She
is rescued by the tuxedoed Terry. Terry sees his date and has to find a way out of being with messenger girl.
If you ever wanted to see Sonny Chiba wearing vampire teeth this may be your only chance. The teeth freak out messenger girl who is scared and leaves. Terry magically finds chick.
Back at his place, Kung Fu lovin' is starting. Terry gets a phone call. DA has the messenger girl and demands the tape for her safe return. Chick begs him to stay. Mr. Black
does his electro-door-opening trick. Tsuguri has to fight him and his goons. While fighting, Chick tries to steal the tape. But, Terry catches her, grabs the tape, and uses his secret
passage to make it to the meeting. I'm going to mention in the original, Terry was so ruthless he wouldn't have concerned himself with saving the girl. He mainly did in the first as
spite after the Mob dishonored him.
At the meet in an abandoned amusement park, DA wants to see that the tape is genuine. They fight each other and DA wins the fight. Needless to say, Terry is sufficiently
pissed by this point.
At a martial arts school, where Masaoka from Return of the Streetfighter is teaching. Terry shows up wanting to now
about what form of Karate that DA uses. Masaoka tries to get Terry to recognize that he must develop his spiritual side. Will Terry get the golden glow when he is the master? He
watches Masaoka go through a kata. After being called spiritually weak again, Terry snaps and starts fighting Masaoka.
Once again, we get the flashback to the original where Terry's father is killed. The words of advice ring true once more. Trust no one. Depend only on yourself. Be the best.
DA reports to his bosses that the case isn't going anywhere. Well, his job is threatened if he doesn't crack the case soon. On the street, Terry is waiting. DA gets in the elevator
and, Terry gets the drop on him, literally. DA's mom is surprised when Tsuguri hauls her son inside like a sack of flour. Terry makes DA's mom help him look for the tape. He calls the
police and leaves.
Later on, DA introduces himself to Mob Boss. He wants to sell the tape to the Mob. It turns out Terry has the other cassette. Mob will have to get it from him. Anybody could
see that Mob Boss doesn't like having to deal with DA.
At a carwash, Terry meets with Mob Lady, Aya who is the sister of Mob Boss. He agrees to sell the tape. Well, at the meeting place, Terry gets his money. Everyone is
happy. Karate Girl is being interrogated. She kung fues the room. Aya breaks up the fight from getting worse. Terry drives away. Karate Girl manages to catch up with him. She
warns him that the Mob is going to double cross him. Where did she get her doctorate in "Mob will screw Terry Tsurugi”? A group of guys cut them off in a tunnel in front and
behind.
Hola, gringo, and now you die...
Both of these groups manage to use guns and open fire. Karate Girl gets out of the tunnel and unloads some serious vengeance. Too bad, Mr. Black unloads some bullets into
her. As she lies dying, Terry's car explodes.
A huge amount of money is being gathered. They have one of the tapes. As they're driving down the interstate, a motorcycle cop flags them down. Pull off in a junkyard. Would
it be a surprise that the cop was Terry wearing a mask? He quickly finishes off these mobsters.
Aya, DA, and Mob Boss are planning to leave the country as soon as the money gets there. The money car pulls in the lot who tells that Tsuguri has the money. Now, Aya has
to get the money back.
Aya and Mr. Black are at a funeral home. I guess this is where Karate Girl is. They never explain how they find him. Some of the mobsters from the junkyard are tied up
here. Terry shows up and, his fight with Mr. Black begins. Traps him in the incinerator and, we have refried Mr. Black.
Aya tries to convince Terry not to kill her. Sweet kung fu lovin' does ensue. Aya is talking how scared she is about the Mob catching her. The door opens. The suitcases
of money are taken while Terry is busy. Shots ring out. Aya gets out of there quick.
The guy with the gun is quickly finished off by Terry. He sees the money put in the car and drives away.
Mob Boss is trying to get away from DA. On a stormy night, the boat is being readied. He wants out fast. While Aya waits in a nearby bar, Mob Boss and his goons enter. The
weather is so bad as to delay all launches until the next morning. Angry DA arrives. A goon fights him. Mob Boss has a rifle, going to shoot DA. I wonder if he misses. He missed
and kills goon. So, DA finishes off Mob Boss. DA now has the ever grateful Aya.
At the boat, Terry shows up to fight the guards on the boat. He places something in the car. This will be a plot point.
Aya is showing her "gratitude." Like 7-11 is this girl, she is always open. Like a doorknob, everybody gets a turn. The next morning, Aya is fixing drinks for herself and DA. I
wonder if he saw her spike his drink. She finishes hers. DA tries to force her to drink his until Terry arrives.
Dude, I swear I can explain this...
Aya is shocked that Terry is alive. Going to have a final fight. Around a Japanese temple, the fight starts. Terry and DA have the ability to jump from heights of 30 feet
unscathed. DA is running and, Terry is following him. Now, they are back at the docks. The preliminaries are over. DA starts doing his special kata. Terry recognizes something
and strikes. DA has a hold on Tsuguri which he reverses. DA looks to have the upper hand. A tremendous kick knocks Terry on his back and as DA is readying his
deathblow. Terry strikes and kills the crooked DA.
Aya has a gun. Not as catchy as "Janie's got a gun" I know. She manages to hit him and, Terry falls off the dock. It takes Aya about the same time to get the car as a gunshot
Terry who fell off a dock to get into dry land within shouting distance of Aya. He tries to warn her, hobbling to her as she loads the money into the car. Aya doesn't hear him mention
there is a bomb in the car. She starts up the car and, with flaming wreckage, we see Terry show an emotion.
