For
the first time, the Kingdom of Cambodia has become a unified land. The
new government is a unified government of multi-parties, which is
responsible for the continuity of rebuilding Cambodia. The Royal
Government of Cambodia would promote the development of tourism and make
it to become tourism of culture and nature. It would heighten the
private and public investments, targeting at building up tourist
infrastructure. It would ensure security and political stability.
Tourist work has to be linked by the preservation of natural cultural
heritage and natural environment.
As
the nation progress, the Royal Government of Cambodia, under the
leadership of Samdech Hun Sen, Prime Minister, has determined that the
development of the Kingdom's tourism industry is one of its most
important priorities and one to which significant attention will be
given. To achieve its goals, the joint ventures in the tourist
infrastructure with foreign companies have been encouraged, and the Laws
and Regulations on Investment was adopted.
The
Royal Government of Cambodia has openly invited the private sector to
invest in the triangle development plan for Phnom Penh - Siem Reap /
Angkor - Sihanoukville that includes renovation and construction of
airports, hotels, entertainment facilities and infrastructure, as well
as human resource development.

Angkor Wat temples, in Siem Reap province, the enormous cultural remains
