$3.50-$5/min and domestic 500 riel-$1/min. Many of the
hotels have an international telephone. Telephone stands
along the main streets offer domestic handphone calls
for 500 riel/minute.

Public Card Phones At time of printing there were
eleven public card phones in town See ( on the map for
locations of phones. Purchase "Easycard" phone cards at
the Camintel office.
Internet
access can be found at Camintel (64), ABC Computer and
perhaps
Small World.
Holiday Hotel and
Crystal Hotel have Internet for their guests.
$4-$8/hour. Internet access is painfully slow and
unstable. It can take up to 20 minutes to connect to
Hotmail and then the connection may still be lost. Yahoo
is a little better.
Telephoning notes:
You may notice that Cambodian telephone numbers
begin with a ‘0’ (e.g. 034-000000, 016-000000, etc.)
When dialing domestically, it is usually necessary to
dial the entire number including the ‘0’ at the
beginning. When dialing from outside Cambodia to a
Cambodian telephone number, you must use the country
code but exclude the ‘0’ at the beginning (e.g.,
855-34-000000, 855-16-000000, etc). When dialing from
Cambodia to a number outside of Cambodia, you must
precede the number with ‘007 or 001’ (for example
007-662-251-0000).
Telephone Services
For those living and/or
working in Sihanoukville who who their own phone or want
to purchase one, the town has three mobile phone
services and two stationary phone services. There is no
landline out of Sihanoukville so all calls are relayed
via radio or satellite making rates relatively high.
