GENERAL MEETINGS

General meetings are normally held at **5:00 p.m.** on the first Thursday of each month. Please refer to our Event Calendar for meeting accommodations as locations may vary and dates are subject to change.


CGSAA October Meeting Thursday, October 1st

** Please note the new time and place! ** The October Meeting will be held at the Astoria Aquatic Center in the meeting room beginning at 5pm.
This months agenda will include discussion on the Halloween party as well as the Christmas party, we will also be doing a special Halloween Craft.

2009 CGSAA Welcome Aboard Meeting!!

Columbia Memorial Hospital will be offering the following classes:


• Itsy Bitsy Yoga (21 month to 4 years old) Includes toddler friendly yoga poses together with songs, stories and games to create an enriching parent/child activity. Parent participation is required. 6 week session is Aug. 17th thru Sept. 21st. Price is $60. Please call 338-7564 to register or for more information.

• Infant Massage classes: Research shows that infant massage enhances bonding, promotes scoial, emotional and cognitive development and helps to calm little ones.

• Prenatal Infant Massage: Learn infant massage before your baby is born using a doll to practice the techniques. This two week course includes a 45 minute individual follow up session after your baby is born. Price is $60. 2 week session from August 17-24. *Important Update* The IPP will be closed Tuesday 5/26 & Thursday 5/28 this week. WE WILL BE CLOSED FOR THE SUMMER. THE LAST DAY FOR THE YEAR IS FRIDAY, MAY 29TH! LOOK FOR US AT OUR NEW LOCATION AND MORE HOURS AT GRAY ELEMENTARY GYM IN SEPTEMBER, 2009.


Staff on site will encourage child development activities such as to help improve motor development, balance and hand-eye coordination. Located in the Astoria High Schools small gym. Children ages 0-6 years old with their care givers are welcome. The $2 per child fee is waived if caregivers can show OHP or WIC ID. The goal of the Indoor Play Park is to keep children active starting at a young age. This project is sponsored by the MOMS Club of Astoria and the Astoria School District . Funding for this initiative has been provided by the Autzen Foundation, COSTCO, Fred Meyer, The Astoria School District, Bikes and Beyond, Lewis and Clark NHP, and private donors.

The Coast Guard Spouses' Association of Astoria (CGSAA) is a non-profit organization made up of spouses of military personnel, active and retired, living in the Pacific Northwest Region.

Our mission is to provide a friendly atmosphere in which to promote the morale and well-being of our service personnel and their families; to engage in charitable and social activities decided upon by its members; and to provide educational information in the areas of concern to military families.
