Vampire: the Masquerade

The game has begun! Look to see updates here semi-regularly.

Want extra experience? I'll be posting "assignments" (designed to flesh out your background) that you can earn XP for completing.

For your reading pleasure! I've added some fiction. Who knows what insights you might gain from reading it?

Hrm, how to explain this...Carl is going to be running ONE story-arc. I ran the first one, he's running another. I'll be taking control of the game back after it's done. I am still in complete control of the overall WORLD of the game (he's still unaware of some things that are going on). After all is said and done (and we're onto things -I- will be introducing) he'll be moving back into the role of player and I back to Storyteller. Pete will be leaving town. After that story-arc is completed I may allow soeone else to run a story-arc. Eric has expressed interest in that, but nothing's final.
Point of order: Carl is not God in this world, he's (merely?) more like a Prophet.
The ain reason I allowed Carl to run an arc was a)I had the major things tied up for the moment, and no-one had anything big happenng in the near future. Carl had some interesting story-ideas, and I told him to run with them. Once the arc is over I'll be taking over and we'll be oving into the thngs I'm preparing. I'm not napping while Carl runs, I'm preparing. I have two characters 'motivations' ready, and I'm preparing more.

I'd like to take this space to apologise to my players for not keeping up this website as much as I promised I'd do. You can blame Sid Myer, Will Wright, the infallible Randy (visit Neveron for details), and my damned Lethargy for the halt. I will try to update more often in the future!

In the past, I've always thought a good fight was just the thing to keep a game running well. Not that I wanted a constant spray of arterial blood soaking the city walls, but at the dramatic moment, a resolution to finalize things. As we move further into the darkness, I begin to feel disdain for the simple solution. Fighting is taken way too lightly by some, and others make combat far too important to their characters. Now, amidst the unDead, combats can be brutal affairs, and Final Death means more to those who cannot die. Why would any sane creature of the night engage in such a risky affair? Something that can treaten their unnatrurally long life?

Things to think about: My style of Storytelling is very liberal comapred to others. I may have a rough idea of what is going on in the future, but my experence as a gamer has taught me to always prepare for the unexpected. Therefore, long-term plots will be continuiously revised by what the players do, and what they do not do. This is NOT me deliberately sabotageing players designs, merely the world reacting to what they do. Remember, I almost NEVER tell anyone everything, but I DO give small, different peices to different people. If all the players combined their knowledge, I might be in trouble...or would I? Remember, your character is NEVER safe, no matter how much of a bad-ass you get to be, or who your friends are.

I've interpreted Chicago pretty liberaly, using the Chicago by Night book from White Wolf as a starting point.
Feel free to e-mail me if you know something is wrong with the Chicago information.
As the campaign progresses, I will add to this page, making it more detailed about the things that happen, and things that change.
