Flash III

Wally West idolized the Flash. He was the greatest of them all, in his opinion. When, by some weird happenstance, he went through the same accident that created the silver age Flash, he readily signed himself up as Kid Flash. He was Barry Allen's junior partner for years and a founding member of the Teen Titans. When he hit his late teens, he went through a metabolic change which caused his to go through intense pain whenever using his powers. He found out that if he continued, he would die. So he stopped using his abilties and started living out a normal life. This didn't last long. His powers changed yet again and he regained them, only he was much slower than earlier. Shortly thereafter, Barry Allen died in the Crisis. Wally took on his mantle to honor the name. Eventually, his control over the speed grew until he was as fast as Barry had ever been. In recent events, he surpassed Barry to become the fastest man who ever was and managed to enter and leave the Speed Force. Recently, the memory of everyone in the world has been wiped of who the Flash was.
