AGSMA at FC 2000
Weapons Depot and Armory
Here we are at the Armory for the Final Fantasy Fiasco Team
It would not be complete without a generous assortment of gunblades, guns, whips and chains
(sounds so dominatrix, ne?)
As part of my report on the props that showed up at Fanime,
And since many of you ask how we make guns and gunblades
I've included an evolution guide to the Laguna's Machine Gun and Squall's Revolver
For the Lionheart evolution, you'll have to head over to Squall's homepage.

Weapons
from Fanime
Final Fantasy Weapons From Top to bottom, Left to Right
Sephiroth's Katana
Squall's Lionheart
Seifer's Gunblade
Rinoa's Blaster Edge
Quistis Chain Whip
Selphie's Nunchukus
Laguna's Machine Gun
Squall's Revolver
Lei's Props All the props that were needed for the Lei WuLong costume, all laid out. The holster attached to the shirt, a pistol, badge, and handcuffs. Oh I guess keys too. Who needs keys?
Laguna's Machine Gun
Laguna's Machine Gun
Laguna's ready to take on all comers with his trusty machine gun. With evolutionary steps detailed at the AGSMA at Fanime Con 2000 Page You'll see that it started off as a pistol, which was soon overtaken by cardboard.
Laguna's Machine Gun
Retained Features
It was a cap gun that served as the base for Laguna's rifle, and so there is a door on the side which allows me to change the caps. So it is a working cap gun. Unfortunately, all the cardboard around it dulls out the caps. So this feature wasn't used very much.

Laguna's Machine Gun
Evolution
Laguna Loire's Rifle Alot has happened already, I didn't think to start this until I got to this stage. The cap gun is already secured with that door open that lets me load caps. As you can see, the original cap gun is silver.
Laguna Loire's Rifle The barrels are added and some side trim is now added on.
Laguna Loire's Rifle Lots of steps skipped here as all the finishing trim has been added and the annoying bar, and sights have been added.
Laguna Loire's Rifle The Final product, in a coat of gloss black. This is essentially the previous picture, just after the paint job.
Laguna Loire A quick comparison of Laguna's Machine Gun to a Battle Droid Blaster Rifle from Episode I

Squall's Revolver
Evolution
Squall's Revolver A blade without the gun.
Schematics for the contour of the gunblade.
Squall's Revolver A close up of the handle with molded finger dents, and a place for the barrel to go, which will be patched up at the end.
Squall's Revolver Testing the barrel and blade to see if it will fit will before fixing and painting.
Squall's Revolver Close of the handle and trigger before a coat of sculpy goes over it to smooth it out.
Squall's Revolver Prototype gunblade with the barrel in place and a painted handle
Squall's Revolver The mostly complete gunblade.
It's missing the chain at the end of the hilt/handle with the lion's head on it.

On to the next part of the Anthology! Part 3!
