South Wars- The Search for Chef
Brain Monsoon
The Beginning
It all started on December 17, 1997. It was after the premiere of Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Episode of South Park. That was when Ryoga thought it would be cool to have our next skit be South Park. The idea spread around to Trunks, who was dwelling on potential scripts on a flight home. At home he quickly scribbled together three scripts. The first two we based directly from South Park. The third was a shocker. South Park and Star Wars... together, for the first time! As South Wars. It was such a strange coincidence. Obi Wan Kenobi, wears a hood, dressed in brown, and dies...just like Kenny! What a concept. There was only one role for Eric "the Beefcake" Cartman. And so the idea was bounced back from Trunks to the other two members of the Triumvirate. Riyoga loved it. Ucchan: "Whatever!". And so that's what the group worked on. Scripts were written and drafting of costumes were made. Three dimensional versions of the costumes were planned for awhile until it was decided that two dimensions were part of the charm of South Park, and that's what we had to work with. All the voice actors began work as well, so by the time recording was necessary, we'd have all the voices down pat. Months of anguish for our friends as the voice actors did their South Park impressions day and night.
