Ding Yin Gu is like Western Timpani. It is developed from "Hua Peng Gu". It consists of three or four drums tuned to definite pitch. And the pitch of the drums can be changed during the music by stepping on the levers or rotating the drums. Such improvements in modern China is to intergrate Western Music into Traditional Chinese Music.
