Yun Luo is known as "Yun Ao", or "Jiu Yin Luo". It consists of Luos of different pitches grouped together on a wooden rack. When it is striked in the correct order and tempo, it is capable of producing simple melody. It was popularly used in the Emporor’s Feast.
The Traditional Yun Luo consists of ten Luos. Later improvements increased it to 29, 39 and 38 Luos, which make it capable of producing beautiful melody.
Orchestra Works that make use of Luos are "Xu Ri Dong Shen", "Yu Zhou Kai Ge" etc.
