The Body Mass Index (BMI)

The body mass index (BMI) correlates to fatness, and applies to both men and women. To determine BMI, weight in kilograms is divided by height in meters, squared.

The figure of 20 - 25 is a healthy weight status. This is not indicative of any fashion standard of ideal weight, but employs your height and weight measurement to determine the optimum ratio.

Lower than 20 Your weight is lower than normal. 20 to 25 This is considered the normal range. 25 to 30 You might be moderately overweight. Higher than 30 You may be considered very overweight.
