Thanking champions is step three in a well managed program. However, don't think of it as the final step. Managing a successful program is a never-ending process of finding, inspiring, and thanking champions.

You really cannot thank a champion referring customer too many times if you thank her or him genuinely from the heart. The most common error in thanking champions is in not thanking them. You have a champion on a list. You see the results of his or her hard work on your behalf. You begin to take for granted that this champion will continue to refer others to you if you continue giving and improving quality. Fine. But, thank those champions!
