These rules are to be followed at Lirac/Wayward Weyr. The punishment is in accordance to the degree and evidence, though generally we will warn a first offense, moderate a second, probate a third, and ban a fourth offense.
Rules Regarding OOC behavior:
1a. No flaming of writers.
1b. No harassing writers!
2. Keep IC arguments OUT of OOC interactions. An IC character who hates another IC character does not necessitate OOC disliking of the writers. In reality, this sort of thing actually works better if the writers are friends.
3. Abiding by the Posting Requirements is a MUST. If you plan to be gone for more than three days, please be courteous and allow writers to know. If you plan to be gone for a week or more, you must contact the BoD.
4a. Do NOT manipulate the BoD.
4b. If you feel that the BoD is being unfair in a manner, please don't complain to other members. Come to US first. We either 1) don't realize it or 2) have a very good reason for our actions. Honestly, we're nice folks, and we go out of our way to be fair.
5. Summary: Really, we're asking for everyone to be kind, courteous, and to use common sense. If anyone is violating these rules, we ask that evidence be sent to the BoD's account so we can review it.
IC Writing Rules, and some Regulations we deemed necessary:
1. We love Major/Evil/Great Plots, but if they're going to effect more than a circle of characters, please let the BoD know!
2. There is no specific way dragons/flits/whers/owners of speaking mentally to these critteres speak, don't use quoatation marks. It gets confusing. Firelizards and whers use very simple words.
3. Firelizards and whers are uncommon here at Lirac Weyr. If you submit a character sheet with a firelizard or wher, it must be a VALID reason. There may be IC hatchings, though these must be BoD approved.
4. Runners, felines, and canines are the only other pets allowed.
5. Timing will only be allowed through BoD approval.
6. HADs are extremely rare rankers. We will only have one at this Weyr at a time, and we will be very nitpicky over who gets one.
7. We will not accept a perfect-type character, and we reserve the right to ask people to change something abut their character sheets they are submitting if the Weyr already has a disportionate amount (IE: Not everyone needs to have the same background or hair color/style!).
