Who the heck writes these things?! Are they some kinda sick minded people that go "how many pages does it take to break the average teenagers back?" Goodness, who comes up with: "Lets compile all these stories that i didn't write into one big book, even tho most of them are on the internet and all i'm gonna do is ask a few questions of the reader that they never pay attention to and get payed a large some of money" Do they really get payed for every single page!? Goodness, the text book writers have waaaaaayyy too much time on their hands. I mean common, excerpt from a history book, "buy a wife! only 100 pounds of tobacco." Yes, teacher, this is very relevant to what we study. Who on earth would ever EVER write a text book. Is school not torturous enough?
Besides the fact that the books are so big, teachers love assigning things out of the book. Like read this one paragraph and do number 1, then the next day, read the same paragraph and do number 2. See a trend!? And the book is like 100,000 pages wide and about, oh i dunno, some where between 500-1000 lines tall. Psh and they seem to do this about the same time. So you'll be carrying home every single book that they give you and then they'll wonder why we have back problems. They'll say "do you not have a locker?"
Oh and i love this one, who invented "out side reading on your spare time." Gosh is it not enough that they dominate my school life but now they tell me what to read for enjoyment. But that's beside the point, who invented this "spare time" stuff. The teachers pile homework the size of a house and then say: "on your spare tiem you get to read this..." and you know what, it'll be something super important that you have to know. Besides, half of the text book is already irrelevant, and the half that is relevant is mostly the glossary and apendix at that back.
Do people really hate life and everything that much to write a text book? What are they going to tell their kids (if they can even get spouse)? "Hey son, i'm a text book writer." Wouldn't that just like cause hatred and revenge? I dunno, but one thing for sure. When I get a job, it won't be writing text books. Wei Kong, signing out.
