Six years I have longed to be
Restored unto my wife
Six years I have longed to have
Companionship in life

Six years I have tried to be
Someone that she could love
Six years I have cried to Thee
And stored my tears above

But in all these six long years
I didn't see a trace
Till now You've opened up my eyes
My heart now sees Your grace

Your grace has been there with me
To warm me when I'm cold
To still my anxious troubled heart
Unto these days of old

The times that I have failed
Your arms of strength surrounded me
And hands that once were nailed

Your grace has been there with me
When rejection's like a knife
And each attempt to be restored
Was met with severed life

Your grace has been there with me
Yes, Your grace has made a home
Secure for all eternity
I'll never be alone
