Tired Of
God's Garden
Poems by Others
When I get "tired of" things I don't like
Things that can hurt me and things that cause fright
When I get "tired of" old sticks and old stones
Name calling people hurt way past the bones
When I get "tired of" waiting for love
Waiting for kindness instead I get shoved
When I get "tired of" those playing games
"Your turn to go first" it's always the same
When I get "tired of" it's always my fault
I'm always to blame, I'm locked in a vault
When I get "tired of" "It's all about you"
"Once again" sounds familiar, I haven't a clue
When I get "tired of" the hurting inside
Ache after ache, wanting only to hide
When I get "tired of" all of these things
Life seems depressing and usually stings
But someone must care, someone must love
I've been given a choice from God up above
To take all these "tired of" feelings and cares
And come to His cross and lay them down there
To lay them down there remembering His word
He'll carry these loads is the message I've heard
And not only that, but He's just begun
"In the image" He said, "of My only Son"
So count it all joy these "tired of" things
Stretching your faith, endurance it brings
Endurance must have it's time to work
To mature and complete a 'once "tired of" jerk'
No pain is too much, no sorrow too great
He's been there before you, the path is laid strait
So now I remember the scope of His plan
Suffering is painful, but we're all in His hand
"Tired of" feelings must give way to hope
Our focus His word, His promise to cope
It's all a process, I'm happy to say
Cause I'll be like Christ Jesus, without sin---someday
