If I were to resume my skills and work experience in two words, those would be communication an education.  Skilled in the technology, tools and equipment used in most forms of communication, as well as used to translate concepts not only between languages but between levels of understanding, many jobs I’ve held and as most of my training have been directed to better get information and ideas to be understood and learned by others.
Experience shows that there is much good that I can give, and help others to find.   Almost as far back as I can remember, I have had the chance to share in this way.  Different positions and circumstances such as voluntary work, formal and on-the-job training, employee, and manager have developed my expertise in teaching, training and sharing.

Formal teaching:

  • University Assistant Professor
1982-83, Organic Chemistry, Technology Department, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Universidad Mayor de San Simón, Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Duties included being in charge of lab activities, planning experiments related to theory class contents (lectures given by the tenured Professor), supervision of students executing lab work, and grading it.
Being given free use of laboratories, I also pursued individual research in improvements to some basic industrial processes, and extraction of natural essential oils and synthesis of artificial essential oils, internally published.
  • High School Teacher
1985-1995, Colegio San José (Catholic private school) and several High Schools under ANEP (Uruguayan National Education Administration).
Duties included teaching 45-minute classes, grading students (more than just grading their work), and assorted teacher’s duties.
I was extremely active in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, designing and producing a school-wide Geography interactive exhibition, Astronomy nights, camp-outs, etc.
In Colegio San José I pursued a year of practical, hands-on research into Computers Education with grades 1 to 12, with many interesting results, internally published
  • Grade School Teacher and Principal

  • Sunday School Teacher
    1982, Christian and Missionary Alliance
    1999, La Paz Community Church

Non-formal teaching
