I found our seats that we would be at for
the race and noted that they were excellent. I took my 4 year old son (who will be 5 in December)
to see "happy hour". After the problems that we encountered in July with the wildfires I felt I should
bring him back down. Here is a view of happy hour as they get started. Pretty
nice.
Here is EJ in
the Depalma Box seats that we had for the race. He was really well behaved for me and his reaction to the
cars was priceless. I had given him headphones and the scanner that I use for the race and he
wanted to know why there was no one talking to him. Second round qualifying was postponed for
about an hour due to some rain showers and I took this while we were waiting. That's a DuPont
racing uniform he's wearing. He wanted to wear his Dale Earnhardt hat but I told him he had to
make a choice.
The cars are very difficult to
photograph when you get closer to the fencing. I took EJ to the wall and took some video of the
cars going by. I had to copy the tape because he's wearing it out showing it off to his friends. These
pictures show Ken Schrader, Jeremy Mayfield, Terry Labonte, Ricky Rudd, and Jeff Gordon going
by.
