Invitation for the 1998 State Championships to be held during Beaumont Neches River Festival

The Beaumont Parks and Recreation Department and the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau have invited TCRA to hold our State Championship Races (USCA Classes) during the Neches River Festival April 26-27, 1998. The proposed course would be from Collier's Ferry Recreational Area upstream to Riverfront Park and back a distance of 8.14 miles.

If TCRA chooses to be part of the Neches River Festival, refreshments, awards and in-kind support may be available from local sponsors. Primitive camping at the race site, proximity to East Texas and Lousiana canoe clubs and youth paddling group in nearby Lumberton, Texas are addtional considerations. If this interests you please indicate on the survey form in this newletter.
